Incarnational theology

To embrace incarnational faith is to embrace the notion that God comes to us in the midst of human existence. God is not distant, but as near as life itself.

God is directly involved in the lives of ordinary people, a part of human history. Refracted christologically, this basic idea became the doctrine of the incarnation in the confessions of the early church.
